Public Information (old)

N.A’s primary purpose is to carry the message of recovery. The purpose of the Public Information sub-committee is to insure that clear and accurate information about N.A. is available to the public. This helps insure an accurate perspective of recovery in N.A. and avoids self-promotion and personal grandiosity. Involvement in P.I. provides an excellent opportunity to learn our principles and help extend awareness of our fellowship. Carrying the message insures the growth of our members and the health of our fellowship. P.I. meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30PM at the Los Gatos Community Center 208 E. Main in Los Gatos. For more information, please send an e-mail to [email protected].

The Public Information Subcommittee is also responsible for the area’s phoneline, which provides an opportunity for one addict to help another addict on a personal, one-to-one basis. By maintaining a 24-hour-a-day phone service, Narcotics Anonymous is always available to those in need. This service connects the experience, strength and hope of the fellowship with the still suffering addict. The phoneline also provides meeting times and locations. Addicts are always needed to be available on the other end of the phone when someone reaches out. To get involved in with the Phoneline, come to the Public Information sub-committee meeting at 7:30PM on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Los Gatos Community Center 208 E. Main in Los Gatos.
